Wed 4/27Boston MetroBoston Poetry Slam – Championships
Boston Events INSIDER, by Johnny Monsarrat
Before going to the National Poetry Slam, the local team hosts a finals round to select who will go. I’ve seen a poetry slam and it’s definitely not the stilted, inaccessible, boring commentary you are fearing. They “perform” the poetry like one-person theatre shows. If you’re EVER going to give a poetry slam a chance, why not for their annual finals, which is likely their best night of the year? 8pm.
Cantab Lounge, 738 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA.
