About Wildquack Duck River Festival
This outdoor action packed day in the park brings singles, families, strangers, businesses and guests all together to forget about lifes trials and tribulations if only for a few short hours. Let's get together and laugh out loud as we watch more than 3,500 yellow rubber ducks make their way to the finish line. You'll find the kid in you again.
Crowds start to gather for the day at 7 AM when the ticket and memorabilia sales start. Pick out just the right spot near the ""Duck Stage"" where you'll hear our M/C's Rob & Andrew Clark (a celebrated Father and Son Team) entertain you with light hearted bantering, jokes and they'll announce the winners of this year's great prizes.
There are so many things happening through the entire day you will want to pick up an event day program found at any of our Sales/Information Tables identified by colorful Wildquack Duck flags. Downloadable Event Day Programs will be available on this page after May 10th. As we get closer to the event day we will have more detailed information available. Here is what you can expect; Big Ducks Post Time is 1:45 PM, Olympic Ducks and Regular Ducks Post Time is 2 PM. Special thanks to a very special sponsor the Mount Washington Auto Road and Howie Wemyss who will be starting the Olympic and Regular Duck Race off with a Big Bang from their Canon! New this year... a Kids Decorated Ducks on parade 1 PM, an Incredible ""Silent Auction"" 10 AM - 2 PM, Jackson Fire Department presents their ""Obstacle Course & More 10 AM - 4 PM, MWV Dolphins present their ""Home Baked Goods & More"" 10 AM - 4 PM, ""5 Minute of Fame"" on the Duck Stage 10 AM - 2 PM, Local and Visiting Food Vendors 10 AM - 4 PM, Pony Rides from Black Mountain Stables in the Park 10 AM - 4 PM, ""Jackson's Cake Boss"" Competition 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM, Winners Announced and Prizes Awarded approximately 2:30 PM. Winners do not have to be present for prizes.
Duck Tickets go on sale April 5th for $6 each or $20 for 4 tickets, Olympic Duck Tickets are $20 each, Big Ducks are $100 each (put your company logo or picture on your duck and you get to pick you duck up after the race and keep it).
Our Parade grows every year and this year we are hoping to get more kids involved by having our first Kids Decorated Ducks on Parade. Kids can be officially registered at the Chamber Office by calling 603-383-9356. Kids must be 12 and under and they will have to be Decorated or Dressed like a duck and either walk or ride in our Wildquack Parade. Best Kid Decorated Duck will win a very special prize valued at $100 and geared toward kids.
