Johnny's SummaryFALL OF THE MOON: AN HOMAGE TO MAHMOUD DARWISH & THE ARAB SPRING
Lebanese 'oud Master Marcel Khalifé and the Al Mayadine Ensemble perform the prophetic poems of the Arab World's most renowned and beloved poet, the late Palestinian Mahmoud Darwish, and pay tribute to the Arab spring that has swept through the region over the past year. Darwish often referred to Khalifé as his ""heart's artistic twin."" Though they came from different countries and backgrounds, both artists shared a sense of desperation and hope about the state of their respective homelands and the world.
