Multi-talented artist Karien de Waal paints and plays with a purpose, promoting human and women’s rights through her art. During the month of April the AIC Center Gallery spotlights the unique work of this rising painter-activist-performer. Drop by during the day to view the show. On Thursday, April 19, AIC and Project Nur present a special artist’s reception where Karien will discuss her paintings and take the stage as bassist in a flamenco ensemble (a style originally founded by a medieval Iraqi musician). This evening of art, live music, and awareness, with one of Boston’s top dynamic young artists is free.
Thank you!
