Do you know what defines and causes an Ice Age? Until about 12,000 years ago, the entire New England region lay under a mile or more of ice. In fact, Cape Ann is one of the most significant geological areas of the country, and one of the best places to see signs of the last Ice Age up close. On this guided hike, we'll discover what defines and causes an Ice Age by deciphering the clues left behind by the last Ice Age right here on Cape Ann.
