Each program begins at Joppa Flats Education Center with an interactive introduction to our theme via slide shows, group activities, or an in-class demonstration. Then, we'll bundle up and head outside to look for signs of wildlife on Plum Island and along the Merrimack River. Each walk on the wild side will include aids to field identification and plenty of discussion about the behavior, food sources, and adaptations of some of the most special wintering guests in Newburyport.
