Spend quality time with your family in the great outdoors finding, observing, and admiring local wildlife. Each program begins at Joppa Flats Education Center with an interactive introduction to our theme via slide shows, group activities, or an in-class demonstration. Then, we'll bundle up and head outside to look for signs of wildlife on Plum Island and along the Merrimack River. Each walk on the wild side will include aids to field identification and plenty of discussion about the behavior, food sources, and adaptations of some of the most special wintering guests in Newburyport.

April 1: Harbor Seals
The Harbor Seals programs conclude at Salisbury Beach State Reservation.
Additional siblings: $4 members, $6 nonmembers
Instructions and Directions: Meet at the Joppa Flats Education Center. Please wear warm clothing in layers, hats, mittens, and waterproof footwear. Bring binoculars if you have them. You'll also need a hearty snack or lunch, all nutfree, to eat en route.
