Enter a world of indulgence, drunken revelry, and wild and hedonistic festivities! The Boston Circus Guild brings back last year’s sold out Bohemian Bacchanalia, with new performers, new circus acts, and a new band! For two magical evenings you are invited to come experience performances by some of the most talented artists in New England, including:
• Sexy male acrobats performing feats of unparalleled strength and grace
• A hilarious Carmen Miranda-inspired routine on stilts
• Gorgeous, breath-taking aerials including trapeze and silks
• Super Mario Brothers characters brought to life in a four-man juggling act
• Dark and glamorous dub-step belly dance
• 1980s style aerobics turned burlesque performance
Amidst the circus revelry, enjoy the soul stylings of Johnny Blazes and the Pretty Boys and dance along to the vivaciousness of Emperor Norton's Stationary Marching Band.
“We know how to throw a damn good party. Crazy circus antics, two kick-ass bands, plenty of room to dance… how can you not have a blast?” says Charles “Handsome Chuck” Lechien Jr., the Impresario of the Boston Circus Guild.
“The shows are a little bit different each night. I can’t wait for Boston to see the unicycle routine and male acrobats on Thursday night. And then a Carmen Miranda routine on Friday? You don’t want to miss this!” says show producer Nancy Allen.
“While Super Mario Brothers might not be the first thing you think of when you hear ‘bacchanalia’, our act certainly adds to the mood of celebration and merriment. There’s also a huge contingent of video game nerds in Boston who also love this particular type of nighttime circus.” says juggler Ricky (Yoshi) Hawkins.

Bohemian Bacchanalia is at Oberon, Two Arrow Street, Cambridge, MA on Thursday and Friday, February 23 & 24, 2012. Doors open at 8:00pm, show starts at 8:30pm.
