Tammy Denease as MumbetJoin storyteller and historian Tammy Denease as she presents ""Honoring a Slave Heroine: The Mumbet Story."" Denease portrays Elizabeth ""Mumbet"" Freeman, a young Massachuetts slave woman who won her freedom in court in 1781. Her landmark case led to the end of slavery in the entire state of Massachusetts.
