The Week in Weird
Pink Voyd: The Ultimate Pink Floyd Trip for All AgesApr 25Western Mass
Pink Voyd is unique amongst Pink Floyd tribute bands in playing no backing tracks, CDs, or robotic "click tracks" to be married to. Without exception, everything you'll hear is played live. This allows the band to stop, speed up, slow down, interact with the audience, and reproduce the most faithful Pink Floyd concert in the world. The secret is a lot of work into the sound design of each note, not just the melodies. And each member of Pink Voyd plays multiple instruments, sometimes at once, so just four people can play what took Pink Floyd 12 artists to perform on tour. This small size allows Pink Voyd to coordinate and jam together and recreate everything from the early 1960s Floyd up to the modern era. Come this Saturday April 25 in Amherst MA and see the laser show from the 2008 world Rush tour and the original Pink Floyd 40-foot inflatable pink pig. The Week in Weird
Bedford Minuteman Company's Pole CappingApr 11Metro West
It's not Patriot's Day yet! But taking a cue from St. Patrick's Day, we're going to start celebrating anyway. First up are three re-enactments, all on the same day but conveniently in different towns. The days starts with "Pole capping", which is apparently what the minutemen would do when they weren't farming. There'll be a parade, and then volunteers risk damage to their old-timey costume by climbing a tall pole. With a cap. 10:30am. Wilson Park, Bedford, MA.(978) 369-6993. more more more
Meriam's Corner ExerciseApr 11Metro West

By the Light of the Silvery MoonApr 11Southern Mass

Easter Egg Hunts - GraftonApr 11Northern Mass
The Friends of the Grafton Libraries hosts this one, with kids stories after. I would be busy hustling the chocolate on the street to addicts. Nelson Memorial Library field, Grafton, MA. more

Eastern Haunters ConventionApr 10 - Apr 11Pennsylvania
Road trip!!!! Not much would entice me to Pennsylvania. I've been there only twice, to visit CMU. But how about the largest Halloween exhibitors convention in the USA?
