Hi!
Every year I track 1600 annual events, and the hardest ones include the Chinatown events. I guess they don't know (or care) about promotion.
Well, I just learned at the last minute that there will indeed be a Chinese New Year celebration, complete with a lion dance and lots of arts and music. It's this Sunday, February 1st, 10am-5pm. It's free, at the corner of Harrison Ave & Essex St, Boston, MA. See http://www.chinatownmainstreet.org
